The lingering crisis and suspicion between the leadership of the Okpokwu chapter of the PDP and Hon James Ejembi Okefe ,Deputy Speaker,BNHA deepens with his expulsion from the local chapter of the party.
His expulsion from the party was announced yesterday at the end of the exco meeting of the party held at Okpoga.
Hon Okefe has been engaged in a low intensity crisis with some leaders of the party in the area over his alleged support for the APC during the leadership election in the Assembly where he emerged as the deputy speaker against the wishes of the leadership of his party, the PDP.
His alleged fierce support and loyalty to governor Samuel Ortom and his deputy Benson Abounu also incurred the ire of the leaders of the party.
He is accused of working for Ortom and the APC in zone C.
Efforts to reach Okefe as at the time of going to press proved abortive as his lines were not responding.
However,a PDP leader who spoke under condition of anonymity told this reporter that due process was not followed in the sanctions against Hon Okefe as he was not given the opportunity to defend himself of the allegations against him.
