The Benue State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress ( APC ), today announced the suspension of twelve prominent members of the party, including a former member of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Jime, who contested for the governorship ticket of the party in the just concluded polls.
According to the party’s State Executive Committee, the 12 members were suspended owing to claimed anti – party activities. Also gathered is that most of the suspended members failed to heed to the party’s advise to withdraw cases they filed before the courts against the party and its candidates.
Emmanuel Jime is challenging the emergence of Governor Samuel Ortom as the APC governorship flag bearers in Benue state; Dorothy Mato is challenging the emergence of RT. Hon. Herman Hembe’s emergence as flag bearer for Jechira federal constituency with Frank Utoo faulting the emergence of Tarkighir Dickson for Makurdi/Guma federal constituency as well as Avine Agbum challenging one other’s nomination for Makurdi south constituency among others.
The state chairman of APC Abba Yaro listed the suspended members to include representative Emmanuel Jime, senator JKN Waku, Mrs. Dorothy Mato, Sunny Odugbo, Justice ABP Utsaha, John Usaka, E. Onaji, Mathew Nezan, Frank Utoo, Linda ogbeche, Avine Agbum and Ojogbani Adai.
