Benue State Governor-elect, Chief Dr Samuel Ortom, yesterday visited the All Progressives Congress, APC, Volunteer Ladies, Ankpa Quarters, Makurdi to sympathize with them on the loss of their member, the late Miss Dorcas Aluamo Kwaghvihi.
The deceased lost her life in a motor accident along Makurdi-Otukpo Road near Midway Inn a day after the group paid a courtesy call on Chief Dr Ortom.
The late Miss Kwaghvihi, an NCE holder who became a tailor after graduation, was also part of the delegation that visited the Governor-elect.
She lived with her sister off Katsina-Ala Street in High Level where the former Minister of State, Industry, Trade, and Investment, met with the APC Volunteer Ladies.
While sympathizing with them Chief Dr Ortom stated that it was unfortunate that the deceased died before his inauguration and the take off of the youth empowerment program of his administration which included plans to provide professional training for those interested in the fashion industry and other trades within and outside the country.
He urged other youths to emulate the exemplary life of the deceased who acquired a trade in addition to her certificate even as he assured members of the group of his support for them to be self sufficient.
President of the organization, Judith Peeki, and her Vice, Deborah Elijah, disclosed that the late Miss Dorcas Aluamo Kwaghvihi who died on 10th May was laid to rest today at her home opposite Amap, New Road in Gboko.
