Omadachi Oklobia

The three public officers summoned by the Benue House of Assembly to submit documents and explain reasons for the non payment of workers salaries in the state today were absent at the assembly’s plenary.
However two of the summoned appointees,  Mr. Gabriel Asen, Chairman of the Benue Internal Revenue Service ( BIRS ) and Mr. Omadachi Oklobia, the commissioner of Finance sent in letters of apology explaining their inability to provide the necessary information and even attend the sitting as demanded.
In the sent letters the respective public officers explained the reason for their absence wnd failure to submit the required documents that they needed more time to gather the needed facts and documents before appearing before the legislators.
Meanwhile the deputy speaker of the house, Hon. Stephen Omeje who presided over the session read the letters to the house while also intimating the disapproving members of Prince Solomon Wombo, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs’, snub of the assembly’s invitation as he neither sent a letter to explain his action nor appeared before the House.
The which condemned the act further directed that all the summoned public officer were to compulsorily appear before the House on Tuesday March 10, 2015 and also submit the required documents before 9: 00 AM of the same day.
