acknowledging cheers from supporters

Yesterday streets of Makurdi were locked down as Mr. Andrew Ayabam, declared his intention to run for the senate of Benue North-East Senatorial District ( Zone A ).

Ayabam who drove in a motorcade from the judges quarters makurdi, to the party’s secretariat where he received his expression of interest and nomination forms which had already been bought and donated to him by youth from the senatorial district.

After receiving his forms from the leader of the youth Mr. Ati Kengkeng,  at the party’s secretariat,  the motorcade proceeded round the town to gboko road where the senatorial aspirant addressed his crowd of supporters who came in from all seven local governments that make up the zone.

Addressing the crowd at the venue Ayabam said his intention to run was based on his belief that 20141110_160125after a long and successful sojourn in the banking industry where he used his position to impact on the people through job creation, there was need to participate in the political sphere so as to bring the much lacking democratic dividends to his constituents.

Ayabam who is a toast of the youth for his youth empowerment programmes through his CW AYABAM FOUNDATION, yesterday promised that he will intensify on his empowerment schemes as well as continue with his provision of basic amenities.

There is a need to rebuild the peoples’ belief in the ability of government to cater for them; there is an urgent need for a person whose antecedents can easily be related to and felt by the people; there is burning desire for someone who has an unblemished history of honouring agreements and performance.

He further added that his decision to join the race was to bring hope to the people of Zone A, who have lost hope in the ability of government to cater for the people.

“This is why I confidently but humbly present myself for service to be used as that tool for the desired change, as one who has been tried and trusted, to ensure Benue North East Senatorial District is given what is due to her…This is why I have decided to join the progressives in our great party the All Progressives Congress (APC); a party known to deliver on its promises, a party with a conscience and a party with evidence of performance”. He stated.
