The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU Benue State University, BSU chapter has embarked on warning industrial action to press home the payment of their wages and earned allowances.
ASUU chairman of the university, Dr. David Ikonne however denied report of industrial action which went round Makurdi, the Benue State capital but said the action would be declared at the appropriate time.
A student of the university (name with held) said they have learnt of the news of the industrial action but there is yet to be circular to that effect. No lectures have been held so far.
The warning strike according to investigations ends on Friday consequent upon failure of the Benue State Government to comply with the demands of the teachers would pave way for full scale industrial action.
Meanwhile, students of the university have been thrown into panicking following that lecturers have shun classes over issues of their wages.
