As Fulani kill Three in Suswam’s Village
Fulanis Embark on silent killings in Agatu

The peace talk between the Benue Farmers and Fulani herdsmen may have hit the rocks as the state secretary of  Cattle Rearers Association. of Nigeria, Myeti Allah Garus Gololo dissociated themselves from the move.

Gololo who spoke to newsmen in on phone yesterday said that despite the good intention of the state governor, Mr Gabriel Suswam, he regretted that the governor might have been misled, saying that the purported president, Alhaji Abdulahi Bodejo the governor had talk with was fake.

Gololo explained that the authentic president of Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria, sultan

Gabriel Torwua Suswam

Gabriel Torwua Suswam

Miyetti Allah is Mahmoud Kirowa who was elected about a month ago and submitted that the governor might have been goofed.

The peace meeting between Benue farmers and Fulani herdsmen was initiated by governor Suswam and subsequent interaction with Deputy Inspector General of Police DIG Michael Zuokumor early this week where a peace pact was signed.

According to Gololo, ‘I learnt that the governor had peace meeting with somebody who purportedly called himself the president of Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria Myeti Allah, that man is not known by this association’.

“Our national president is Mahmud Kirowa who was elected about a month ago in Sokoto, this can be verified  by the Sultan, HRM,Alhaji  Sa’aid Abubakar, who is the life patron of the association, so I don’t know how governor Suswam  got the link with Abdullahi Bodejo who has no member and not known to the association at all”, he said.

According to Chief Nyior Abe, a community leader , the herdsmen laid ambush at the Mobil Barracks which is still under construction at About 6am when the farmers  went to get some food in their farms and shot them to death at the spot.

Chief Abe said they reported the incident  to the police and soldiers in Anyiin ,but the refused to intervene saying ,they are only in the area to protect the home of Governor Suswam.

Mobile Barracks Ayilamo, is located very close to Anyiin, the country home of Governor Gabriel Suswam, where 100 anti terrorist  police squad and over 50 soldiers are stationed to protect his sprawling mansion.

In a related development, former member of House Of Assembly, Hon. Yakubu Ochefu yesterday dismissed the report that soldiers have cleared Agatu off the Fulanis just as he cried out that the Fulanis are yet to vacate the troubled areas in Agatu local government area of the state,  in spite of the presence of soldiers deployed to the area.

According to him, ‘ as am talking to you now the soldiers have not been drafted to the affected villages; Abugbe, Ocholayani, Adana, Olegeje, Oweto and other villages.so my appeal is that the soldiers be deployed to the affected areas because the Fulanis are still much around grazing and silently killing our people’.
