Suswam’s Alleged Cabinet Reshuffle Unsettles Commissioners

Commissioners and special advisers in Benue state have become
unsettled over speculated plans by Governor Gabriel Suswam to
reshuffle his cabinet towards achieving rapid infrastructural

atiterkula gathered that top cabinet members of the Suswam’s
administration were already, running to their various local
governments to rally round political elders to appeal to the governor
to retain and or redeploy them.

According to feelers those who may be given the boot include the
commissioner for sports, Mr. Aondowase Chia, that of science and
technology, Mr. Godwin Ada and his culture and tourism, Mrs. Comfort
Ajene and education commissioner, Mrs. Elizabeth Ugo.

Others are Mr. Conrad Wergba, commissioner for information, who until
recently has been at the centre of a number of controversies and that
of Agriculture, Dr. Eugene Aliegba, as well as commissioner for
housing and urban development, Mr. Simon Kwaghbula.

Also likely to be laid off are the special adviser on economic
planning, Mr. Sebastine Agbinda and that of agriculture and food
security, Mr. Emmanuel Atser.

Our source informed that their crime, particularly commissioners of
sports, Chia, culture and tourism, Mrs. Ajene and science and
technology, Mr Ada,since their appointments, have not recorded any
landmark execution of projects in their various ministries.

It was further gathered that the governor was deeply worried over the
inability of the special adviser to the governor on media, Dr. Akwaya
and that of Agriculture, Mr. Atser to deliver PDP in their respective
local government during the last conducted governorship and local
government poll, alleging that their constituency had been overtaken
by ACN through the member representing Kyan state constituency in the
assembly, Mrs. Dorathy Mato.

According to the Government House sources, the governor had planned to
reconstitute his cabinet before he travelled out of the country for
annual leave and that he (Suswam) was to perform the reshuffle as soon
as he return from the trip.
