Benue:LG Boss Predicts PDP victory in Forthcoming Polls

The Caretaker committee chairman Ukum Local Government, Hon. Terfa Bossua, has emphasised that his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), will come out victorious in the forthcoming Local Government polls to be conducted in November this year.
According to Hon. Bossua, the PDP is ready to enter the forthcoming polls, confident of total victory in all local government areas especially Ukum Local Government where he confidently declared that it would return the party in all elections including councillors and the Chairmanship position.
While fielding questions from journalists in Makurdi, the chairman intimated that the Nigerian populace is not tired of the party as widely acclaimed.
According to him, the problem with nigerians is one of patience with people in authority, as he stated that transformation is a gradual process. He thus enjoined Nigerians to be patient with the leadership.
During the interaction, he added that his focus as a transition committee chairman was to ensure the peaceful conduct of the soon to be conducted elections as enshrined in the electoral act.
He further stated that in addition to conduct of peaceful and malpractice free elections, he is determined to reconcile warring political leaders in his local government to ensure a peaceful and conducive environment for elections.
Meanwhile Hon. Bossua has also expressed confidence in the ability of the Benue state governor, Hon. Gabriel Suswam to deliver the dividends of democracy as inshrined in his proposed agenda “Our Benue,Our Future”, which according to him is the source of his confidence in the PDP’s success in the state.
The caretaker chairman during the interaction, enjoined journalists to be proactive and also be progressive in their reportage of events to promote the image of the nation. He further thanked the nigerian press for what he termed their partnership in the development project.
